About Us
“Honey Berry Ranch” was established in 2016 on an 11-acre family farm nestled in a scenic valley North-East of Mission and North of the Fraser River, B.C.
Our initial crop is Honeyberry/Haskap, but we have diversified into poultry (chicken and turkey), with plans for future endeavors to include other complementary animals and plants.
In order to ensure that our berry fields maintain a truly natural cycle we researched various farming techniques and discovered sustainable mixed farming practices. These mixed practices of regenerative farming allow us, the farmer, to manage the land, plants, and animals and in turn, the animals fertilize the land and feed the people.
Following techniques and practices presented by Joel Salatin of “Polyface Farms”, we meld the farmer, animal, and land by managing the three in a symbiotic cycle. This management ensures the best use of the land to ensure pasture-raised animals while maintaining a healthy, sustainable life cycle for the environment.
Our animals are raised with no antibiotics and receive natural early support to initiate a healthy gut biome, we apply nature’s touch which encourages stable prebiotic and probiotic gut health. We like our animals to consume, “More Bugs, No Drugs“, thus ensuring a healthy, quality product for you and your family.
We are not organic certified, but our animals will easily fit into Paleo, Whole 30, or Ketogenic diet programs.
